Yoana is a Colombian returnee living in the city of Cúcuta, Colombia, and is married with three children aged eleven, fourteen, and seventeen. She resides in the human settlement “Alfonso Gómez”. Currently, she is interested in contributing to the transformation of the community where she lives, which is what motivated her to become a Goldin Institute Global Fellow. Through the knowledge she acquires with GATHER, she aspires to strengthen her leadership in the community to continue building sustainable solutions, growth, and development for vulnerable and migrant communities. She is part of a team working to create a court as a sports space and working on a program to validate studies for anyone who wishes to pursue it.
