Tai Donovan is Director of Operations at the Medical Careers Exposure and Emergency Preparedness Initiative, providing training to youths on Chicago’s South and West sides and encouraging them to choose a medical profession. Donovan is a medical student deeply committed to leveraging her career to bridge the gap with community health. Throughout her medical journey, Donovan has advocated for marginalized communities by illuminating the various determinants of health, acknowledging the interconnectedness of gun violence and health outcomes and understanding the profound impact of violence. Donovan is dedicated to addressing violence as a pressing public health issue disproportionately affecting communities of color.
