Huma Nasir is a human rights lawyer, a member of the Youth Advisory Board at the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, and a Kofi Annan Changemaker. Her work spans several key areas, including International Human Rights Law, Gender Justice, Conflict Resolution, Indigenous Rights, and Climate Justice. With a deep interdisciplinary focus on the intersection of law, gender, and peacebuilding, Huma’s research is particularly informed by UNSCR 1325, which emphasizes the importance of women’s participation in peace and security efforts. She is dedicated to promoting a gender-inclusive approach to peace processes and aspires to advance feminist peace within the broader framework of international peace and security initiatives.
