Helder Lopez Escobar

Helder is a lawyer residing in the Community of Cubulero in Honduras. He is currently the Director of the Justice and Law Commission of the World Network of Young Politicians of Honduras and the co-founder and current President of the Council for “Microcuenca El Rebalse”. His work focuses on jointly promoting water action plans with municipalities as a model for community management intervention, defending democracy, human rights, and promoting the Sustainable Development Goals. From there, actions and measures are implemented to address challenges and solve issues of tensions and social dynamics with community civil society organizations. In summary, his efforts are eager on capacitating the community in regulations and statutes through workshops on peacebuilding and community project management.
