Farida Acevedo Castro
Fundación Humano y Libre/Venezuela Somos Todos
Farida was born in Valencia, Venezuela but currently lives in Mexico. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Master’s in Agile Project Management and Digital Transformation Methodologies. Currently, she serves as the director of the foundation Humano y Libre AC in Mexico, where she focuses her efforts on the migration emergency; with help from the Venezuelan community in Mexico City, they have managed to support over four thousand migrants who are homeless with humanitarian aid, food, water, personal hygiene items, medicine, and guidance on administrative procedures. Though initially supporting people from Venezuela, the situation has evolved, and now includes individuals from other nationalities such as Afghanistan, Haiti, Ecuador, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Angola, the Dominican Republic, Colombia, Brazil, and even internal migrants within Mexico. Farida is also a member of the global citizen platform Venezuela Somos Todos (We Are All Venezuela). She is also a co-founder of the Association of Venezuelans in Mexico (Venemex) and the Association of Venezuelan Entrepreneurs in Mexico (AEVM). She is also a proud mother of two daughters.
