Eduar Martinez de Arco
Red Comunitaria De Preveción Y Detención De Violencias En Tolú
Eduar was born into a lower-middle-class family in the year 1993, in a small coastal town called Santiago de Tolú, Sucre (Colombia). He completed high school at the age of eighteen, which was a bit late compared to most young people in the region. Before finishing secondary school, he became involved in a Catholic youth group called “Jomicris,” of which he became a member after the launch of the Municipal Youth Platform in Santiago de Tolú. He participated as a member of the Advisory Committee for the ICBF (Colombian Institute of Family Welfare) in the region of Sucre, where he had the opportunity to visit nearly all twenty-six municipalities and carry out valuable work for the youth. He conveyed the message of participating in strategies aimed at improving family and social environments by fostering spaces for participation and promoting a deep commitment to non-violence.
