Charlene Gail Taruwona is the Founder of the Family Bonds Foundation in Harare, Zimbabwe, leading initiatives aimed at fortifying familial and communal ties through comprehensive support and empowerment. With qualifications in Law, Development and Human Resources, Taruwona embodies a fervent commitment to community empowerment and advocacy, orchestrating programs and services designed to foster family unity, social cohesion, and sustainability. Taruwona champions the rights of girls and women, channeling her knowledge into articles, workshops and trainings addressing sexual and gender-based violence and women’s livelihood issues. Beyond her foundation, she volunteers her legal help and mentorship, and hosts the popular social media forum, “The Charlene Show.”
