Beria Hampton is the President and Executive Director of the Altgeld Garden-Murray Homes Alumni network whose mission is to be responsive to community priorities and preserve the quality of life of the entire community through safety, cultural enrichment, arts, education, and advocacy. Beria is a proactive professional with 12+ years of experience in community-civic engagement. She is a leader in her community of Roseland where she works to overcome decades of disinvestment and bring down the high crime rate of the area. She wants to have a positive impact by helping neighbors overcome barriers, empowering the people to create systemic changes that value equity and inclusiveness.
