Ana Maria Hernandez is an Arts Activator for Music Moves Chicago. An Afro-Colombian writer and independent scholar from the Austin neighborhood on Chicago’s West Side, Hernandez earned a BS in Social Work and a BA in Political Science at Southern Illinois University, and a MS in Social Work in Leadership and Social Change with doctoral studies in Sociology at University of Illinois at Chicago. Hernandez is a lifelong learner, a proud Chicagoan, and a heavy Libra excited to connect with fellow changemakers who love and seek peace across our city.
