Lissette Mateus Roa studied Primary Education at the faculty of Humanities at the National Pedagogical University of Colombia. Lissette continued her studies in English for two years in England. Lissette has extensive experience in family empowerment and the prevention of domestic violence, sexual abuse and child abuse. Lissette is an Alumni of the Goldin Global Fellows and lead facilitator of the “Pedagogy of Care and Reconciliation” that helps former youth combatants in the civil wars in Uganda and Colombia reintegrate back into their communities.
