Andy Alegre
National Activation and Partnerships Department Lead, International Justice Mission (IJM)
Andy Copada Alegre serves as Lead of National Activation and Partnerships Department at International Justice Mission (IJM) Philippines. In this role, he collaborates and develops strategic partnerships with churches, faith-based organizations, networks, coalitions, and leaders for the protection of children against online sexual exploitation and in creating safer communities for children. He is also Secretariat Member of the Philippine Interfaith Movement Against Human Trafficking (PIMAHT) where he co-develops and co-organizes strategic awareness, prevention, training, and advocacy events and programs against forms of human trafficking across the country. Apart from his work, he is passionate in engaging and educating communities and schools on areas of climate change mitigation, water conservation, digital literacy, children’s rights, freedom of religion and belief, and strengthening social cohesion. He holds an MA in International Law and Human Rights from the UN-Mandated University for Peace (UPEACE) in Costa Rica and an MA in Political Science, Major in Global Politics from Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) in the Philippines. He hikes, travels, and reads as his forms of self-care.
